Reopening of our family hotel in the heart of Ugine

After several months of silence, punctuated by the sound of hammers and the smell of freshly cut wood, it is with immense emotion that we announce the official reopening of the Hôtel du Bourg, nestled in the historic heart of Ugine in Savoie.

Work carried out with passion

When we decided to take over this mythical hotel in Ugine, renovation work was deemed necessary. Our objective was clear: preserving the soul of places all while offering him a new youth. Every beam, every stone, every corner of the establishment has been carefully rethought, to Combine Savoyard authenticity with modern comfort.

We have worked hand in hand with local artisans, With a love for their region and a passion for their profession, they have renovated the hotel, transforming it into a inspiring place to live. The result? A warm place, where wood, stone and natural materials tell a story, that of a Family home open to all.

I cannot speak about the work without mentioning the people who strived to make my project a reality: Gabriel Goncalves, an artist brush freak Who designed the hotel's decor.

Sébastien Favre, an Carpenter scie-des-cimes, who designed the bespoke furniture for the rooms as well as all the woodwork in the building. Joël Gardet, an Plumber magic plumber who refurbished all the plumbing at the establishment.

Roland Ouvrier-Buffet, Electrician dynamically electric who brought the entire electrical system and SSI system renovation up to standard. Gilbert Crapanzano, un painter A cheerful person in a jar who has given the exterior façade a colourful makeover. Pascal OUVRIER-BUFFET, Carpenter meticulous carpentry that carried out various framing works.

I'm also thinking about friends who helped us with the demolition and reconstruction. Big shout out to my father who, despite his work, was a Outstanding project owner and who spent all their weekends ensuring this hotel could reopen.

A warmer experience than ever

Our 8 bedrooms have been completely renovated, each decorated with a Chic mountain spirit, blending wooden furniture, soft textiles, and contemporary touches. The communal areas – a lounge with a library, a dining room, and a shaded indoor terrace – have been redesigned to create a cosy cocoon, where it's good to get together after a day of hiking or skiing.

And the big new thing? A little Wellbeing space, accessible to our guests, for a moment of relaxation facing the peaks where Lucie will take care of you.

The taste of the soil

The cuisine stays true to our roots: Local produce, family recipes and Savoyard specialities revisited. We are passionate about introducing visitors to the richness of our region, by highlighting the producers and farmers of the valley.

A family adventure, for families

This hotel is, above all, a story of passion and legacy. Run for over 30 years by an incredible family, it remains today A vibrant and sincere place, where every visitor is welcomed like a friend. Whether you come for a Romantic weekend, of family holiday or an Business trip, you will always be welcome in our home.

AN EMOTIONAL INAUGURATION

The reopening was celebrated 21 May 2026 During a lovely inauguration evening, surrounded by our dear neighbours, our fantastic artisans, our loved ones, and our first curious customers. The emotion was palpable and smiles were plentiful.
